16 km today. Not too hard. We had lunch a a beatiful place. The sun was shining and such a peceful feeling. I was lying on a bench, eyes closed in the sun and warming my bones. I heard the mountain winds plying with the leaves, a small child playing and also the wind making sound on a chime. A warm happy feeling crept over me, reminding me on my youth laying in a forest glade in the grass listening to the sounds of nature. I now notice how much I miss the forests, small rivers and being able to relax lying in the sun and see time go, by living in the desert. A freshly cooked vegetable soup with noodles made that lunch break perfect. I wanted to freeze that moment. Short before we reached Manang we visited that nice 900 years old monastery - I could have stayed for hours. Arriving in Manang we had a really nice guest house and I was happy to have 1 day rest after 90 km (50 more to go) and half the height, 2700m out of 4600m we have to go up to cross the pass. I really need the rest, it's a hard way and 3 more days up to the pass. Also time to wash, dry and sort my stuff. Here I thought the first time about if I would do a high mountain trek again.
